MV Marie-Inès Liveaboard

MV Marie Ines was first launched in June 2019 and has been recently refurbished to the highest standards. This project was undertaken by its owner, who entrusted it to two young architects and Filipino marine engineers. It has been designed to be highly functional and comfortable, providing an outstanding experience for diving and snorkeling cruises in the Philippines region.

Our 11 crew members will welcome you with a smile and make sure that your experience on board and in the water is unforgettable.

On the main deck, 8 rooms will accommodate up to 16 passengers. Each is equipped with a private toilet, hot shower and individually controlled air conditioning. At the stern of the boat is the divers’ platform with equipment allocation for each diver. Lockers are provided along with 2 external showers, towels and a dedicated water tray for cameras. A large low platform near the waters surface allows diving directly from the boat when the site is accessible by the MV Marie-Inès.

Your safety whilst diving and when onboard is of paramount importance to us. You will be supervised by our staff of qualified instructors and dive masters with a ratio of 1 for each group of 4 guests. Non-divers are also welcome to join our expeditions and can snorkel with supervision. For those who are new to scuba diving and would like to learn, we offer Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) courses as well as world recognised dive refresher training. No matter what your level, we can cater to your needs.

On the upper deck you will find the large airconditioned restaurant where you can share meals together served as an all-you-can-eat buffet with self-service and water and hot drinks available 24/7. The kitchen adjoins the restaurant where the chef will create your delicious healthy meals and snacks.

The lounge area is fitted with seating for relaxing or watching television and a large number of electrical outlets are provided for using or recharging your computer, phones and cameras.

The Captain’s Bridge at the front of the boat houses the navigation control room and all of the necessary safety and navigation equipment on board, as well as a network of CCTV throughout the boat for your safety.

On the upper floor is a sun deck which covers the entire surface of the boat with exterior access from the restaurant. There is sun protection under a canvas roof where benches and tables allow you to relax in the shade after a dive, and enjoy the 360-degree view of the landscape.

The boat is equipped with 2 x 185HP marine diesel engines and a diesel capacity of 1300 litres, 2 generators that supply 24 hour 240volt power, and 2 x 10,000 litre fresh water tanks that can be supplied by an onboard desalination unit.

Kayaks and paddles are at your disposal to enjoy breaks between dives.

Services on board
On board, the kitchen staff of Marie-Inès makes every effort to offer you a unique menu of local and international cuisine, with selected local fresh products. Water, coffee and fruit juices are available at all times with a refrigerator available for guests to use. Specific dietary requirements will be catered for.
On the Marie-Inès, we provide a healthy and delicious menu. A typical menu for the day would consist of a morning coffee or tea with seasonal fruits. Following the first dive of the morning, you will enjoy a breakfast buffet with a choice of toast, eggs, pancakes, fruit salads, sausages, bacon and more. For lunch and dinner, you will have the pleasure of tasting local and international dishes from a constantly changing menu. A snack to replenish energy levels is also scheduled in the afternoon, after the third dive.
All non-alcoholic drinks are included throughout the liveaboard tour. Alcohol will be available and charged in addition to your expedition costs.

Dinghy
The Marie-Inès is equipped with a new flat hulled dinghy with a 25 HP Yamaha four stroke engine and has a capacity of 14 people to transport divers to and from dive sites which are not accessible via boat.

Insurance
For all trips and expeditions onboard the MV Marie-Inès and when travelling throughout the Philippines, we strongly recommend passengers have a valid comprehensive travel insurance policy covering all emergency medical expenses, trip cancellation, and electronics cover.

Policies should also include but not be limited to hospitalisation and repatriation to a person’s home country. For diving, an insurance policy covering dive injuries is mandatory, and it is strongly recommended that policies also cover treatment in a hyperbaric chamber. We recommend specific diving insurance available from DAN Europe or DAN America, which has a worldwide network of experts familiar with the risks and events associated with scuba diving and snorkeling. Please note that Philippine law requires our clients to sign a waiver of liability.
